When We Meet

Jerry began serving the awesome people at Snowville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as their Pastor in the summer of 2021 and considers it one of the biggest blessings and miracles of his life. He passionately shares the positive ‘Good News’ of the Word and makes his Biblically-based, expository messages relevant to people’s lives. He is a servant-hearted leader who loves people and is excited about what God has planned for the future of our church!

In addition to being a leader for many years ‘on the mission field of public education’, he has previously served in numerous church ministry roles - including Pulpit Supply Minister and Interim Pastor. He is a Commissioned Pastor with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination. Jerry also has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Virginia Tech and an Education Specialist endorsement in Leadership and Administration from Radford University. 

He has lived in the New River Valley of Southwest Virginia for most of his life. He enjoys; spending time with his wonderful wife, Lucy, and his adult children and their families, most styles of music – especially ‘oldie-goldies’, good food, and sports – he is an avid Virginia Tech Hokie fan!

  Brooke has been serving in the role of board chair at Snowville Christian Church since January of 2021. She has been active in the church from early childhood and has many memories of growing up with the family of believers at Snowville. Some of her most fond memories are those that she made while attending church camp at Craig Springs.

She is so thankful for all of the knowledge and wisdom that has been passed down to her through the members of the church and how it has significantly impacted her faith journey. 

Some of Brooke's favorite things include spending time with family, her Border Collie (Dixie), a good iced-coffee, and singing poorly to any song by Zach Williams.
